I began my yoga exploration 14 years ago, when I was already past 50. Although I had always led an active lifestyle, I never considered myself to be athletic or especially coordinated. I have personally experienced yoga's power to heal and strengthen, and it has done wonders for my body image and overall well-being.
After retiring from a career in higher education and public health, I decided to make yoga my second vocation. I earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification and began teaching individuals and small groups including chair yoga at an assisted living facility. I especially enjoy working with people who would not otherwise have access to yoga and its benefits.
More recently, I became a certified yoga therapist studying with Brandt Passalaqua of Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy. Under his supervision, I am completing the 800-hour International Association of Yoga Therapy certification.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you to explore how yoga can make a difference in your life!
